MuntInternet Network

MuntInternet (AS21392) operates their own network at Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Our core network contains Juniper M20 routers and Foundry bigiron core switches. Our internal network uses several HP switches. The use of Juniper routers and foundry bigiron switches gives the network a zero packet loss, high throughput and hitless failover capacity. We never rely on 1 piece of equipment. Every piece of equipment is backed up by a secondary failover solution.

The network is built to be as redundant as possible and the use of good and fast uplinks configured in BGP4 gives the network the performance that is needed for successful content hosting.

The links are all connected on gigabit Ethernet or more. We constantly improve our network. At his time we are connected to the following bandwidth suppliers:

With more then 150 strategic peering partners on the Amsterdam Internet Exchange we can route traffic within a short distance from other networks. The choice of our uplinks are based on customer information and together with the customers we can increase speed and performance over our network, problem solving and routing issues are solved by our 24/7 operating NOC that is monitoring several hosts throughout the world, this increases the performance and decreases slow response times incase of a failure within other multi-homed networks.

Our network philosophy is very simple. Performance and speed are more important then the costs involved. We are one of the few real high quality hosts in Europe at this moment. With the addition of Sprint in March 2006 our network will be the only one with the top3 quality transit suppliers of the world at this moment! Of course the word “overbooked lines” is not part of our dictionary.
